Oh my god! My heart is completely shattered. I think the fear was there (in me) every time Hal left and especially with the hints. But I didn't want to believe it. I'm still hoping things might be different, not as bad as they seem. I don't know...I could cry right now.
One thing I am glad about is how Joanna reacted to Roger. I was fearing she'd go along, but I suppose she is stronger than that. I'm just glad she decided to do what she did.
Roger has me even more angry with him now. That sneaky bastard...well, not really a...well, you know what I mean, haha. I hate him. I just hope the horse that returned was Hal. Joanna needs care. I just don't know how I'm...ahem, I mean, Joanna is going to face him now. I love him. How will this be resolved?

Whoa... Way to refuse Roger! Great job, Joanna! I was surprised at the part when Joanna saw Hal with a little girl. I thought he had been at work. Hope the little girl wasn't his daughter...

oh my God, oh my god this is amazing. I'm so glad that you had her reject Roger completely when i saw that he was in the house i thought she might run back into his arms, but i respect Joanna more then i ever had in this chapter.
I hoping (preying) that the girl is Roger's. i think Hal would be the kind to protect the mother's honer if he was the one that got her pregnant by marring her. But still if it is Hal's I can't wait for the argument that is about to come.
Great chapter this was worth the wait an is the best chapter so far :)

I don't really know what I was expecting, to be honest. I am kind of wondering if the girl is really Hal's or if she belongs to Roger instead given what Robert said about Hal cleaning up Roger's messes.
Speaking of Roger, what an ass! I can't believe he lied to her about Hal's reasons for telling him to leave her and then having the audacity to ask her to be his mistress. I really can't stand him.
And poor Joanna (I know I say that a lot) her entire world has been turned upside down again. The poor girl can't ever seem to catch a break.

Thank goodness, Hal won. I wouldn't have survived the disappointment if he hadn't.
Poor both Hal and Joanna, though. Roger is slowly injecting venom into their relationship and even if they're not immediately breaking, it is leaving uncertainties in one another, although they are growing sure of their own feelings. I just hope they will be able to survive Roger without too much pain.

Why is jealousy always so irrational? Ok, so Hal believes Joanna may still have feelings for Roger. But he also knows her better now, surely? He must know by now that she isn't the type to jump back into Rogers' arms after Roger abandoned her so utterly and humiliatingly. And if he has so little faith, then maybe he deserves to suffer the anguish of jealousy.
Hal also knows what Roger is like and if he DARES to believe his sleazy cad of a brother over the woman he claims to love, then he frankly deserves every bit of pain his own idiocy causes him.

I really hate Roger right now for what he's doing to Joanna. I wish she would tell Hal about it, though I'm not entirely sure he would believe her since his jealousy seems to be his greatest weakness. Seriously I just want to tell him to let go of his childish jealousy so that maybe he could see that his wife is hurting and needs him.
