The story is great overall, I enjoyed the read.
My only qualm with it is that you are a bit too wordy at times, and that impedes the flow at times. If the descriptions were dialed back a bit, your imagery would be perfect.
Your tone and pacing is flawless in my opinion.

I am very much intrigued by this story and would love for it to continue. In all honesty, I think it's a bit wordy in places, but I absolutely love the imagery you conjure up with those words. This is a refreshing piece of work after some of the other poorly thought out stories I've read on this site recently. Keep up the good work. I look forward to reading more.
