I just love that this isn't a romance chase story. Guy and Bug have their issues, obviously, and there was a chase but there is a bigger overall plot.

Awesome story! It took me longer than usual to get into it, but I'm glad I stuck it out. For constructive criticism's sake I'm not entirely sure why I found it hard to engage with the first few chapters, but it may have been that the setting, and the characters right at the beginning were hard to identify with. Maybe a bit more description before jumping into the POV chapters (which I did like btw ), would have helped engage me right from the first sentence. I felt a bit lost as to the world we were in.
That being said, the story was great in terms of character development and plot. The conflict between Bug and Guy had a good basis, but it felt a bit forced and out of character for him to be so hot and cold. Maybe it was the lack of description of the fallout that made it less believable but at the beginning of part 2 when all of a sudden they had not spoken for months and we're essentially done I was like, where the heck did that come from? (Although your reasoning for him to be angry with her was a good plot device and very believable it was also really confusing to have him be so smitten with her and admit in thought that he knew it wasn't her fault, but act completely against that. )
Anyway, despite those little rough patches I really enjoyed this story. Great Sci-fi setting ( everyone was human though even if some were modified! Or I assumed at least. Aliens are fun, it would have been interesting to see them, or at least know the reason/history why there were only humans in this presumably very large sector).
Ok I think I've rambled enough. Bravo! I would love to see another story from you in the future.

Well done! Sorry it took me so long to post my final review. This story was awesome. Totally took me by surprise and made an awesome impact. So sad to see these characters go but you did a great job making them come to life. Definitely looking forward to reading more of your work!

First this needs to be published, then turned into a movie, then into a TV series where every episode is 1-3 chapters long.
I read this in about 24 hours. During the school week. This is so good.
