I liked it a lot, your descriptions are not too long but not too short either and also I loike the characters, I sometimes lost the grasp of what exactly the situations they were in was about! But it could have been just been me. I mean this was definiatly not something I would have read usually but you proved me wrong and I liked it! :)

I really like the way you described the characters and their attraction to each other. I especially liked the way you described the kiss- "...and it's like he's waking up for the first time...".
While I don't know all of the background situation (e.g. What war are they fighting, and why in Calcutta?), I understand enough of it for the story to make sense, and since it's a oneshot I think that's all that is necessary. However, while I wouldn't want to get bogged down in backstory, perhaps adding some implication of what the war is about would add more depth to the story. (Unless it I just missed it, which is totally possible.) Overall, I really enjoyed reading this! :)

Ok I really like the way avi has to control himself and he DOES ... Like that's rarely something I see. Them holding back. Obviously as a romcom chick I wanna see something cute happen, but it means a lot more, the way u wrote it.
