This is a great start. There are a few things that I noticed, mostly that the initial scene where they are shopping ready a little awkwardly. That being said, aside from the occasional awkward conversation, I really enjoyed this.
For me, the best part was when Cass told Max about her vision/dream, as it really drew me in, and I forgot that I was reading this on a computer, rather than in a book. It was phenomenally done, and I love that you were able to create such a scene so early in the story.

LOL, well, spoiler, we all know that Daniel dies. But I love Cassie! And her friend! And I love how Max didn't hold any grudges against her either from seeing Daniel's death. But I wonder if Thomas mysteriously did it and made it look like it wasn't murder. Anywho, this is going to sound like an awesome story! Great work!

I'm so happy to have finally got to read the ending to that because it was so perfect with how Max and Cass worked everything put. They really do remind me of brother and sister, and I'm still excited to have read all of that again, even if I'm working on it, too XD
