Again, really lovely work! Something about the style of narration here seemed very flowing and almost lyrical. I don't know why; it's simply felt very smooth. The story itself is both heartening and heart wrenching. Heartening because it someone with a great deal of initiative actually succeeding in a new world and heart wrenching because it reminds me that society doesn't always seem to have the same respect for actually making an effort to build something up for themselves that our predecessors did. I especially liked the way that you ended with a letter. Congrats on another fine story!
