Interesting perspective, strong and convincing and extremely well-written. There is no way your teacher would pick on you for this. I beg to disagree in some points, but the last time I read Romeo and Juliet was at least six years ago and the then me found it unrealistic and promised to not read it again unless necessary. I may pick it up later again, just saying.

Good Piece. When you hit that this could be a cautionary tale I immediately thought of Othello and the curious moral there, and it finally hit me that Shakespeare writes violent pulp fiction. And with that there may or may not be a lesson or morale, but I certainly liked your last thought:

"Perhaps it's for anyone who isn't willing to accept that there are crazy things out there...within the hearts of the last people you would ever expect"

yup, you nailed it, Shakespeare's telling you, the world's a crazy place, and some people with a belief (like love) will die for that belief ;)
