Oh dear, I am so sorry I haven't been able to review the latest chapters, it's been so long, so sorry. That said, umm... Dang. I hope Sage doesn't do anything foolish, although Josh seems to be coming around slowly. Here's hoping he gets that briefing he's been waiting on. As for Sakura, she seems not to remember what usually happens to sellouts in these kinds of stories, and if Lydia and the Trio are going to break through to her, it had best be soon. The plot has thickened from pudding to concrete. Intrigues and plots aboundeth, and I'm definitely hooked.

Wow, two chapters in one day. The LORD had put it on my heart to pray for you and your family, to pray that everything was alright and you were doing well. I guess I got my answer today. Another move for the Christians, here's hoping they can stay ahead of their pursuers, and some new faces to mix in with Lydia and Sakura. I don't think I like this Dr. Monet, but I am interested in the sudden change of heart on the part of General Carmack. If only he wasn't drugged to the gills and a drooling vegetable most of the time, perhaps he might be able to do some work behind the scenes to aid our heroes in their quest to plant the Gospel. Anyway, very glad you're doing well, hope you keep remembering to take some "you time" once in a while, I'll review Ch. 8 once I get through reading it.

Well, talk about another abrupt cliffhanger. Good to see you back at it, glad to hear things are all right. My congratulations especially on your new daughter, parenting is one of God's greatest blessings, but also is one of the things in which He asks the most of us. Lot of new plot details, wonder how Lydia is going to handle being around Sakura, especially after everything that happened last book. Also, here's hoping those doctors don't pay much attention to the insane ramblings of General Carmack, and one can only speculate on the mental state of our heroes, especially Lydia, Josh and Sage. I'm very excited to see you come back, and do, as I'm sure many others do also, hope that you'll be able to find the time (if you can!) to stick around a little more in future.
Sincerely, your friend and brother in Christ Jesus,
GhostsOfComradesPast

Well, that right there is one heck of a "curve ball". Personally, I would have thought Josh would have the discipline to keep his yap shut despite his disagreements with the evacuation plan. Being the son of a (now former) army general should have imparted some military bearing into him, and even failing that, one would hope that he would have better sense than to be sowing discontent within sight of the objective, such carelessness so close to the garrison could easily have alerted the guards and gotten everyone killed anyway. Nice one, hotshot. As far as the Miracle of Divine Providence that we see in this chapter, perhaps in her remorse and contrition for her past misdeeds and wickedness, Sakura may yet find forgiveness in Christ. Surely Lydia will be taking every possible opportunity to try to counsel and minister to her in her brokenness. On a personal note, Miss (though I suppose it's now Missus) Rose, I want to thank you so much for the great work you are doing by writing these stories, and congratulate you once again on your recent nuptials. May God bless you and your new husband greatly, and grant you both joy, peace, and an ever-deepening bond with Him who Reigns, and with one another. May the love of Christ be in you both.
Sincerely,
Your Brother in Christ,

The best-laid plans of mice and men... Good to see more character development for Josh, whose head will hopefully not hurt too much when he comes to from that "Beretta Love-Tap", and Sage's internal dialogue about her difficulties is a good look at the struggles a lot of new Christians face, and fleshes out her character a bit more without being over-expositional. I also went back and re-read the end of Ch. 2, and now I've got all manner of questions... Perhaps a guilt-dream of Sakura's mind, a vision of Hell, convicting her of her part in Lydia's fate and that of her own father?

Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials! May the Lord bless you both greatly, and as iron sharpens iron, may you strengthen each other's faith. I'm sorry I didn't get around to reviewing sooner, but I've been working very hard lately trying to keep up fifty hours a week (and sometimes more). Loving the story so far, and I sincerely hope to see it continue. Be encouraged and emboldened by the knowledge of God's might to bless you, and His deep and abiding love for you.
