Funny coincidence, I've posted a new story as well.
When I saw the title, I thought it'd be something all science and chemistry; y'know halite salts and halogens. XD
But, no, it's even better. It's different, cryptic, vague and so BEAUTIFUL. I have no idea what the flick just happened, yet I understood quite well that it happened in a world very very different from ours, it's ethereal. It's beautiful, I repeat IT'S FLICKING BEAUTIFUL!
Your descriptions are so different, so otherworldly, perfect for this otherworldly world. I know the references you make is from the POV of the alien person, Hale., and so it's connected with how he sees things around him and what he makes up as metaphors. It's cool, very cool. Indisputably cool, and no one can say that this metaphor is unsuitable, this simile is invalid, because they haven't been to whatever world this thing is happening in.
I love how the gods are more like monsters, dark and demented and hungry for flesh and immolation. They're like me, lol.
Zeena Schreck would most certainly be drawn to this work of art. I loved it too!
I have nothing negative to say (type, rather), and it's a great thing! It's awesome, has me intrigued and waiting for the next chapter(s). Bring them on fast!

Okay, I don't normally read horror... but this story griped me like a swamp and wouldn't let me go! (That can be good or bad, I'm not sure which)
I really liked this story, you managed to drag me into the world you built masterfully!
I kinda like the swamp, misty, crazy lady who lives their type of deal that you've started, and I found myself becoming attached to your characters. It's hard to create a world and a storyline in less than 2,000 words and you have my profound admiration for doing it so well! *tips hat to you*
I want to see more of this world, even though I'm pretty sure I'll have nightmares tonight because of it :/ Aw well, the things I do for girls... :)
