Dude, I'm so sorry. I've been so caught up with everything here lately I forgot to review this :( I know, I'm terrible! Any who, great chappie! I feel so sorry for Athena! And I love Shuler a little bit more because he's like Dexter and would make sure that they are really guilty XD which is better than I can say for some areas of our justice system.

The friendship between Shuler and Elijah was cute. The reveal of Shuler's former "profession" really surprised me. And I liked an insight into Athena's background.

Once again, the banter between Shuler and Elijah worked very well, and I liked reading about a growing friendship between the two. The fight scenes were intense. Really good description of the technical details also. I liked the understanding between Athena and Kikira, and an insight into Athena's feelings. So, those guys at the end are planning to conquer a galaxy? Uh! Can't wait to read more.

I wonder what those guys were up to. I'm so glad that Shuler is alive. His response to Elijah was hillarious: ""I don't wanna hear anything from you right now," Shuler snapped, dragging him unceremoniously through the undergrowth, "unless it's 'thank you, you beautiful bastard.' Are we clear?"" . Looking forward to reading more.

The stand-off scene was intense. I feel sorry for Quinton. Do they have a mole on the team? My favorite part was: "Captain Kane sighed heavily, dragging a hand across his face as he filled out the last of his report. Quinton Sanders' death was a tragedy, and the paperwork would never do him justice. He was a loyal crew member, brave until the end. Reducing him to a bunch of words on a screen seemed wrong; he was more than that. To the Council, though, it didn't matter. He died in the line of duty and would be honored for doing so, but beyond that… as long as the fugitive was captured…" I hope Shuler is alive, and that he and Elijah will be OK.
