The precision of this poem and its core image carries a great deal of meaning in a short space. My favorite kind of poem. I looked up what a cordate axe was and the fact that it is the longest used tool in human history adds depth.

As beautiful as usaul and full of meaning that each of us can take in our own way. I love the idea of the ax and the feeling of how each line is like a blow of the ax. Well done once more PrincessAnna
