You said a lot in very few (well chosen) words. Really great poetry!

I guess I would interpret this poem as being about someone who is in a place of privilege, so isn't currently overwhelmed by suffering (crepitation), but knows enough of what it is to be human and imperfect and suffering to understand that necessity drives invention or modern ideas. What is the new world thought on righteousness then? Is it the need for new ideas on how to heal suffering? Or is the poem a condemnation on people so easily separating themselves from each others plights, our ability to feel above it all, righteousness in its worst form?

Such a beautiful poem so simple and yet so complex it makes me feel as though i am lost and yet on a path of my choosing.

The poem evokes in me images of a pure spirit seeking heaven and yet troubled by the world and its missleading promises of salvation, but the spirit already has that salvation in itself.

Another great poem from a beautiful poet, thank you.
