I lowkey wish I had a shadow to train with, too. Not that bloodthirsty, of course. So, he's ready for the great return...and I honestly cannot think how he and Mika will be received by the world.

Okay...Mika and Kalius relationship is interestingly...weird. Mika is pretty scary - is Kalius a closet masochist? Electric prods, bear traps and lethal weapon collection aside, she shows the potential of an evil genius. I have a feeling opponents of Kalius are already out of their league.
I liked this chapter; it seemed to have a clear basis - showing the nature of the demon lord and his ward's relationship. Which, I summarize as 'traumatically familial'.
All in all, nice chapter. Will be reading on!

This was such a fun start!
So, former No. 1 villain was overthrown by the wonders of technology, and is currently lying low (presumed) with Mika who is a LOT older than she looks? Plus, magic vs science seems to be the basis - along with the strange guardianship that Kailus has with Mika.
Questions I already have:
Why did he quit being no 1? Was it really because he was defeated? Or is there more to the story?
Why did he kidnap Mika? Her parents, from his words - were his enemies? Hmm...
Why does Mika look like a little kid?
The premise is certainly engaging, and intriguing. The fact that Kalius is planning a grand return can only mean things are going to heat up. For the first chapter, the backdrop as well as hints to the future are well placed :)

Yay! And the number one villain is back in business. The gut is just apart of being an old man Kailus so dont sweat it.
I'm glad i decided to start back with this. Its still good and gets even better the more i read. Kailus and Mika get cuter each chapter and it just makes my heart gush. Awe gotta love villains.
Haha, Kailus being beaten by his shadow was funny. Like come on. Your shadow beat your ass. Lol.
Its good and i cant wait to catch up. Great chapter.

Hmm, I like it. It's cute, even though now I got to know how Mika remained that young forever. I need her remedy. I like Kailus too. Villains rule. Now time to kick him back in shape so we- I mean he can rule the world again.
