I love how short and sharp everything is. The repetition is cool, too. 'Words flashing' is such an interesting word combination to read! The last two lines lost me - I just didn't feel the connectedness -
but this is perhaps because I've never encountered a dogfight.

Aww... and here I thought it was a good and fun trip to the dog park!
I could see everything in my mind's eye, although the dogfight was a bit unpleasant to visualize. :( I can feel the guilt, and as a dog owner myself... I can sympathize.
