I love how short and sharp everything is. The repetition is cool, too. 'Words flashing' is such an interesting word combination to read! The last two lines lost me - I just didn't feel the connectedness -
but this is perhaps because I've never encountered a dogfight.

I like these short bits that connect despite not rhyming. Good poem :3

Made me go get my fur buddy a treat! You did a masterful job of portraying a vibrant and violent scene in so few words. Great imagery, very vivid!

I'm sorry but even though dog turds aren't even remotely shaped like swirls, that's the first thing I thought of upon seeing the combination of the title and summary.

Your offering makes it so easy to visualize this outing, with a clarity accompanied by those flashes of intensity. Replete with emotions that would truly arise from such a event. I hope all are well, or will be my friend from this encounter. It's impressive how effortlessly you're able to convey so much in your writing.

Aww... and here I thought it was a good and fun trip to the dog park!

I could see everything in my mind's eye, although the dogfight was a bit unpleasant to visualize. :( I can feel the guilt, and as a dog owner myself... I can sympathize.

It was a great poem, and I'm really glad to see you back here! Great job!
