The first half of the chapter from the past is fasicnating. I should look for possible similarities in the series: the queen forcing a match, a princess riding on an animal to the palace, a fiance scheming his way, a blade plunging to a heart, etc. But since the other king is holding a funeral, I wonder the twist here. Thanks.

This is an enjoyable story. The series is well-thought out and leaves you wanting to find out what will happen with each princess. Each character becomes more fleshed out with each story and I begin investing my emotions in them. My eyes tend to skip sentences or paragraphs when you repeat an introduction of certain characters. For instance, Aurelius backstory of being cursed into a lion. I didn't count but I can remember three times it was noticed.
