Who is the Lady? I want to say She is the abyss of space itself, an all living and consuming void. His dream certainly was disturbing, the memory was more like a nightmare changing him into an alien. You describe the transformation vividly, something I admire in a writer because you actually sense the character's horror and pain. He is left feeling whether it is real or not.
