I loved the hints of Taylor’s past here, and how he came across as quite vulnerable and open with Christopher. He must carry a lot of guilt and weight for that traumatic past! Sounds like he could be in a lot of trouble here. I’d be interested to see where you go with this, although I JUST did an update on my reading of Sharpe’s Eagle on Goodreads about authors (particularly male) dealing with r*pe as a theme in their stories (not sure if it needs to be censored or not with fanfiction’s filter but playing it safe!). Lots of authors always put their foot wrong with that!

I thought you showed Christopher’s discomfort well. Karla seemed to have designs and schemes of her own too which was intriguing. She seems really observant and interesting!

I felt so sorry for Christopher here! It was interesting to see Taylor swoop in as his knight in shining armour. I was wondering, how old is Christopher meant to be? I can’t remember if you mentioned it or not during this story! That hot fudge sundae sounds nice too, though maybe a bit too sickly sweet and dairy-ish for me! I really got the impression of the busy day he had though, with Aunt Cora whisking him around town!

How cute! I loved this chapter and Karla’s scheming. She seems so conceited but with a cruel streak to her, which I find intriguing. Seems like Christopher is getting into even more trouble, just like another cute wide-eyed boy in Beginners!

Great chapter! I especially loved the intrigue at the end of it, where Christopher is searching through the old archives and records. I can’t help but think there is a lot more going on than what is on the surface!

What a great chapter! I really liked the final sentence of this. Taylor Brent seems to exude sexuality and be an interesting contrast to Christopher! I can’t wait to see more Gothic themes too!

Aw :( This sucks for Christopher, but it's definitely a very strong scene. I liked how you described how uncomfortable he felt with the girl flirting with him. Another good chapter!

Aw, this is really sad, but also pretty realistic! I feel like in relationships with age gaps like this, the younger person is often taken advantage of. However, I relate to the feeling of being a teenager and thinking nothing could go wrong! It's a nice beginning :)

Wow, I LOVE the sound of Karla, she seems so much fun! I felt so bad for Jamie sitting there and feeling so self-conscious though - I think that’s something so many people can relate to! Also loved the hints towards the mysterious man in the place next door!

I really liked this chapter, especially the way they are trying to oh so subtly unsettle Christopher, like with the feminine room and the arrival of this interesting lady, Zuleika, out of the blue! That intriguing idea about the ‘haunted house and the guy nobody’s ever seen’ sounds so great too.
