What a fantastic chapter with an absolute jolt of an ending!

What began as an awkward, embarrassing meeting between Yasmin and Wade and turned into a delightful, fun, and erotic courtship. The pair's witty banter and prying conversations have made for some truly engaging reading, bringing the characters and their budding mate-ship closer to the forefront in this romantic, yet steamily crafted chapter. It was nice to see the two go after each other in the lagoon, giving into the passion and desire they both felt emanating between them.

The ending was one heck of a climax, for Wade and Yasmin as well as for everyone else. ;) The preceding serenity of the paradise setting at the falls and clash of lovers was literally blown away by the shocking conclusion. Nicely done! My pulse quickened at the thunderous interruption and the dire news it brought forth through Megan's privileged revelation. I would add further comment but I think the final words of this chapter sums it up better than I could. ;)

Excellent chapter! Superb storytelling as always and I can hardly wait to find out what will happen now given the news that Morganna has acquired such a powerful item as the the Thunderstone!

Good chapter. I do feel for Shani though. This is the worst time to be sick when they are so close to finding the Thunderstone and she starts tripping out from taking the medicine, which is kind of funny to watch. Still it's very frustrating knowing it will cause a delay in finding and retrieving it before Morganna and Scorpion realize they're in the valley. I'm happy that Marek wants to stay with his son, but devastated that he will not be returning to Shani and Anjuli, it just makes me want to cry. I'm on pins and needles waiting for them to find it first and can't wait to find out what happens next, I hope all goes well for them.

This was such a fun chapter with an absolutely thrilling end!

As always the time spent around Morganna and Scorpion is thoroughly entertaining. That duo is dastardly and wicked in the funnest of ways. Ruthless, cold, and conniving they are a pair to be reckoned with for sure, as poor Jacob knows all too well. If anyone's caught between a rock and a hard place it's him. His life isn't very highly regarded by either faction. And the true purpose behind Morganna's search for the Thunderstone is a devastating one indeed. Talk about hell on Earth.

The reunion between Marek and Eytan was heartwarming while it lasted. As was Shani's encounter with the Basilisk. Not only was that creature awesome, but it was brilliant how she gave advantage against Morganna by being the one thing in the valley the evil sorceress is helpless against.

And the daunting trek into the spider infested caves was filled with suspense and apprehension. That was such great fun, esp knowing Alex's fear of the giant eight-legged freaks. ;) I must admit I was genuinely surprised when Scorpion revealed himself to the group, and suspected a ploy on his part, but the illusion trickery was a further surprise. It all worked perfectly to foil the Alliance's approach and give Morganna the precious time needed to capture the stone and set up a fantastic cliffy of an ending!

Great job! I really, really enjoyed this chapter from start until end!

This was a wonderfully informative and entertaining chapter.

I felt a sense of dread envelop the group as they entered the valley, especially at the reminder of how the dangerous realm negates the abilities of so many within the group. Having serious limits placed upon the shifters does make them rely more heavily on skill and training rather than brute force and savagery afforded them by alternate, beastly forms. The rules of the game have changed now that the valley is in play.

And Marek and Dray's conversation was a nice bonding moment for the pair who usually find themselves at odds. Marek's mortality has really fleshed out his more noble traits. It was interesting to discover how he went about his mission of protecting Shani and dealing with Saadir. A little help from allies goes a long way. ;) It seems a fateful move on his part to enter the valley too, knowing how resolute the consequences will be. How very astute of Dray to call him out on the matter.

Shani's tripping is hilarious too, but Mrs. Norton's strip tease in all its flopping glory had me reeling with laughter. Lol. I loved the contrast of the beetles and their grim purpose up against Shani's amusingly hindered state. The valley is no laughing matter, nor are Morganna and Scorpion's presence there.

Another fantastic chapter! I enjoyed it much and I really feel for Marek as he becomes bound to his own choices once again. Can't wait for more!

I shudder to think that they have to go back into that hellhole. It's making my skin crawl already just thinking about those spiders. Alex is not the only one with a spider phobia, but at least he can zap them. Shani's ability is really, really good. I hope it works inside the Valley of Vardin and she'll be able to warn them of any threat coming. And wouldn't you know it that Jacob is a creep and helping Morganna. I hope he gets what's coming to him. For now, I'm really scared for them now that they're going in. Be still my pounding heart and please I don't want any of them to get hurt. Morganna has to have a weakness, they just need to find it and use it against her.
Looking forward to the next chapter and holding my breath waiting to see what happens.

Great chapter. I think Dray needs to sleep with Shani more often so that Shani can replace her fear of waking up to Saadir with waking up to Dray and the love she sees in his eyes. I can feel the love they have for each other as they make love, too bad her sneezing killed the mood but it was good to see Kendra once more. I'll be curious to see what her elixir will do to Shani? Either way, I hope she'll be able to use her gift successfully today and the group will get the Thunderstone away from Morganna and Scorpion.

I loved this chapter. It was both informative and exciting. I can actually feel the danger coming. I also feel for Shani, being separated from Anjuli for the first time must be very uncomfortable for her and if she's coming down with a cold or the flu, will it help or hurt her in finding the Thunderstone? Marek finding Layla touched my heart knowing he now has family and a close connection to Jenifer. I too wonder how Elise is doing now hiding out with her father? And it's always really good to see the group working together again to retrieve the Thunderstone before Morganna and Scorpion do, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Alaric and the group can do just that. I also wouldn't mind if Morganna and Scorpion blew themselves up in one of their bombing attacks on Lemuria.

This was such an exciting chapter!

You rendered a very atmospheric depiction of a hidden old chamber deep beneath Bordan's room. From the spiral stairs supported by the stone column to the spartan accommodations and iron cauldron of the secret chamber, the venture into Morganna's old hideout was intimately creepy. The air tingled with suspense and I felt like one of the group waiting with anticipation to know if Shani's gift was going to uncover a vital clue. Even though I wasn't expecting the discovery of Bordan's journal, I was not disappointed. Such a find proved to be more revealing than just the location of the Thunderstone and/or Morganna.

And speaking of the evil vixen, I thoroughly enjoyed the brief snippet of her and Scorpion in the thick of the valley. And now that she has reinforcements the Alliance could be heading into a major clash within the deadly confines of the valley. I don't see Dray's frustrations and concerns over the safety of his Mate fading anytime soon. ;)

Another great chapter!

Oh I really like this chapter. Watching their love bloom gives me such a warm fuzzy feeling towards them and now I have a vested interest in seeing how it plays out for them. Wouldn't it be great if she became Finn's tutor? Learning more about her background was very interesting and has me questioning - what kind of horrible parents did she and Shani have? That's a terrible way to grow up. And Wade, he sounds like he's a man's man/dragon. I think he'll be vying with Dray when it comes to taking out Saadir and I can't wait to see what happens when they confront him. I have this mental picture of Dray on one side of Saadir and Wade on the other, as Saadir is drawn and quartered.
I'd love to see what happens tomorrow morning as they vie once again for the shower.

I loved reading this chapter. It was so much fun learning more about Yasmin. I think she's wonderful, and very high spirited and fun to be around. Every thing she went through and all she is worried about is Shani, makes her a special person in my book and I definitely want to see more of her. And speaking of seeing more, Ky is such a sweetheart, but who is he trying to avoid in the city?
The bathroom scene between Yasmin and Wade was just amazing and funny as I watched them go head to head over the bathroom rights. I'm going to love watching these two personalities clash away, they're such great characters. I'm glad she's in Fey, Saadir can't get his hands on any them here.

My heart was in my throat when those men kidnapped Yasmin. But damn, she did good in getting away from them. Thank goodness she ran into Ky and I could relax. I wonder how she'll do flying to Avengard on Ky's back and now she really believes Ky's gay? interesting. I can't help but feel for Brin. She and Marcus keep butting heads and I don't blame her for getting good and drunk. Hopefully Holly will fare better with Sanders, you never know. I really found this to be an enjoyable and entertaining chapter.

I loved this lighthearted chapter. Things are going really well for Shani and Dray, plus Shani and Anjuli are protected at the mansion. I only hope Yasmin makes it there as well. But now that they are all gathered together, I'm with Alaric, 'hopefully being forewarned means they are forearmed' and can avoid losing anyone of them. My heart will break should that happen. I'm counting on Shani to find the Thunderstone and the group to get it back to the manor safely. Fingers crossed.

This chapter was wonderful, I enjoyed it tremendously. The kids are growing up way too fast, although in their world I'm sure they're still seen as babies by their parents. The scene between Anjuli, Dray and the missing La La was fantastic and of course Dray was already on it. And I don't want to forget about Tilly, her conversation with Megan was wonderful. Hearing Tilly's version of events was unique and sweet. This chapter was hilarious, especially the happenings at the Drunken Duck. I almost feel sorry for Ky, he's so clueless, but cute. And it was great seeing them all together having a good time. Also, I have to say every one of your characters are so very special, each with their own distinct personality and I get a kick out of seeing them all interacting with each other. Then there's Alex and his ringtones. He nailed them all.
Thank you for the light-hearted chapter. Now, if they can just get the Thunderstone before Morganna can do any damage with it and Alex can find a way to counteract the portal device, I'll feel better, but I already know it won't be that easy for them to accomplish.

Wonderful chapter. I'm so happy to see them together and it's a relief to see Dray so content with his mate. He's been alone for so long and Shani and Anjuli will fill that big hole of emptiness he's been carrying around forever. Now, he just needs to get rid of Saadir and his goons and I hope Marek can help with that. I was thrilled seeing Dray hug Marek, that was very unexpected but Marek deserves that for taking care of Shani and Anjuli all this time. And now with Anjuli exhibiting druid abilities, she'll fit right in with the other children at the manor, but I'm still worried about Yasmin's safety and hope she makes it to the Drunken Duck safely and they can protect her from Saadir's men if they show up and try to kidnap her. Lastly, Shani needs to find the Thunderstone right away. I don't want to see it in Morgana's hands. Let's frustrate her for a change.

I am so in love with this couple as I am with all your couples, but this book is about them and I'm so pleased you touched on Dray's heritage. It is and will always be something that I am ashamed of as an American.
I'll leave it at that since this chapter is about them during an intimate and private moment, but I do have to say there is no one finer than you, that can take book characters and bring them alive; so human, full of feelings and emotions and so fallible as we all are. Terrific writing.
