I thought this was going to be a piece wholly dedicated to satire and sarcastically sharing the- cough cough -joys of working in retail. I wasn’t expecting the horror twist – I completely brushed past that in my first reading of the synopsis. I very much enjoyed it though. Appropriately spooky for the time of year too.
But there is still a lot of the expected satire. OH YES, it is quite true. At some points, I do feel I could have been filling out a bingo card with a strong chance of winning a prize. And the tone about it all was brilliant. It was consistent and realistic.
All in all, I very much enjoyed the read this evening so thank you very much for sharing.
