2 major problems.

One: The UN doesn't poses any military capacity. They aren't a nation unto themselves, and rely on volunteers from other nations' militaries for troops. Coincidently, those troops are usually predominantly provided by either the US, or NATO nations. The US, of course, possessing a VASTLY superior military to the rest of NATO combined. Our Navy and Marine Corps could probably handle most of the UK alone.

Two: A world war would drastically increase CO2 emissions. Mobilizing the entire US military against virtually the rest of the world. If not from the millions of trucks, tanks, and aircraft, than the fires of burning cities would. Much less the combination.
