"I am a mess of contradictions" - if you think about it, aren't we all? Its okay to feel down, its alright to lament in our sorrows - be it through poetry, self confession, or otherwise. A great poem that feels all too relatable. Good job.
If I'm allowed to be technical for a moment, I notice that the ink motif is dropped in the middle portion of the poem, before it is reintroduced at the end. Some might find this jarring, but I think its only appropriate to drop literary techniques like imagery for a self confessional moment. It seems fitting that way.
