Really vivid and disturbing story. It actually read like a true account of the terrifying encounter deep in space. I especially liked the way you described that blood-thirsty lattice. I got a strong Lovecraft vibe from this story especially. The last line was chilling. Maybe we really should stop, before we truly enter the void. Keep up the great work, you are very talented.
