I like this, except for how itswitches to past tense in the middle of paragraph 6. It detracts from the immediacy of the story, and there doesn't seem to be a reason.
If it were entirely present, it would be a spooky, haunting story, and if all past, it would feel like the "you" was a ghost. Mixed, it feels odd.
Your descriptions feel very realistic! Will there be another chapter, or does "you" just die?
