Thank you for writing this! I too feel it's time for all this politicizing and finger-pointing to stop, or at least tone down a little.

Excellent thoughts well said and well penned. We may not agree totally on every detail of what you have shared, but I must say that you are spot on as to the reality of Media bias working 24/7 to shape and determine our thinking. At one time such behavior was termed as Yellow Journalism, but today that term has been discarded with the character and credentials of what was once thought of as a top notch trustworthy and dependable journalist being reduced to alarmist sensationalism. I voted for Trump because I could not stand Hillary (no offense to anyone), but I doubt I would ever sit down and drink a cold beer with the guy, because he is a pretty obnoxious fellow. Amazingly, folks tend to miss that fact that Obama, though quieter, possesses much the same type of arrogant, self presumptive, personality. Such pompousness must obviously be a part of today's modern lying out their anus persona. In the meantime, it is the Media that is truly shaping the future of our nation, even that of the world. Freedom of the Press has become the freedom of the Press to take unto themselves liberties with facts and truth in deciding for us, without asking us, what we need to know and what we do not need to know. The late and great Kirk Douglas (a Democrat and fine men) said in his autobiography, The Ragman's Son, "Have you ever noticed that when you watch the news the reporter appears to be creating the news, rather than reporting the news?" Thus, for quite some time the Press, as the Media, has been transforming itself, before our very eyes, into an untrustworthy institution that no longer reports the news, as in who, what, when, where, and why, but now broadcasts every story from purely editorial/opinion point of view with every aspect of the details of every story, either, exaggerated and enlarged, or censored and/or omitted ...

Thanks for the inspiration of letting me know that not everyone in this nation has become what I term as Intelligently Stupid ...

Great thoughts and very enjoyable reading ...

Well said. Essays that dive straight into the problem like this are the best and most convincing, and that's definitely what you did here. Again, well done.
