Good to see you using elements of what you see or come across in such ways for chapters. I thought it was a bit short but it served it's purpose as it is quite descriptive and adds this bit about the journal and what is spied there. Let's see where you take it!

I found the part about if something 'feels good don't do it' to be well placed in the center of this chapter and how the most human thing to do is to sit at a desk and do paperwork clearly a reference to issues you've brought up through the years. I would like to see more of this element in your story which I'm sure you will do as you continue to build up the storylines here.

Short but good segue to move the story along. I like the creativeness/resourcefulness of the character calling the spa to learn more about her target.. It reminds me of the 80's/early 90's before there was
faster Internet access and you couldn't Google people.

So a quick change in direction that wasn't necessarily one for you. I was thinking this would be a unique new setting but I like how you consider bringing your stories to the same world or relate them to Mizzer. It shows that you are essentially creating a whole world with microcosmic value.

Off to a good start. Very intriguing about this new story line! Even though short, you have already leaned into giving the reader a lot of minor but perhaps significant details that has the brain wondering in which direction (a new one?) you might go in comparison to other stories. Hmmmmmm

That is interesting. The Tortoise Man has a point about animals wearing clothes. Most of them already have fur and feathers.
