I found "You Were Gone Since Then" an extremely engaging and thought-provoking journey that just held me by the imagination. The way the suspense and supernatural interest, along with profound emotional depth, intricately knit into a tapestry made the book truly worthwhile and irresistible to the readers. The struggle Alister undergoes with fragmented memories, along with the hauntingly persistent question about Julius surviving, kept me turning the pages in anticipation of uncovering what the truth actually was.
The pacing was perfectly calibrated for the narrative: eerie tension built steadily to immerse me in the gripping atmosphere. I was especially drawn to how it went into really deep themes about trust, the nature of reality, and the psychological toll that trauma wreaks. Each twist and turn prompted reflection, making me consider how fragile the human mind can be.
