oh, man. it's been six years since an update, but i'm just hoping for more. this is such a gripping read - jaded, fascinating, with a really heartbreaking underlying sadness. i really like kyle's role thus far - detached, almost like a voyeuristic third party, but still very much in the spotlight. eli's death is such a bitter thing; while reading, it kept hitting me that he wasn't alive, that the reader and kyle were reading a dead boy's journal.
anyway, i'm not sure what the status of the story is - hiatus? discontinued? being revised? - but i'm really looking forward to reading more, if there is more. otherwise this'll just stay in the back of my mind, keeping me wondering about the who, what, when, where, why, and how of this story.

Uh.. wow.
There's so much at play here and I love the writing.
It's also set out so well, there's a great effect in how everything's revealled.
I'm guessing this story in completed and the ending has a huge impact.
Poor Eli and I started reading the story with a sort of oh it's the gay stepbrothers idea again but you drew such a likeable and realistic character for Kyle.
As a reader I was surprised and delighted despite the dark themes.
Lovely.

i'm fascinated by the idea this story is built on, and after reading the announcement, i'm looking forward to reading the revised version. c:

I'm sad to hear that you've put this on hiatus but sometimes it must be done.
I'm in love with what you have so far. This story just strikes me as jaded but in a good, heart wrenching way. At a few points I was surprised to find myself crying and I just couldn't piece together why. It's like the undercurrent of the story just tugs at your heart as though it's nothing more than a little ball of yarn that slowly unravels as more and more of Kyle's life unfolds.
I feel almost as though this story stole a bit of my soul, though I can't put my finger on how it happened. You might say a little piece of my faith in the fairness of life faded away. Hah, 'faded away.' How apropos.
But in all seriousness, I think you just ripped out my heart.
I wish I could figure out how you did it.
Maybe I'll read this again sometime and the answer will come to me.

I like the relationship of the family that you're setting up...and the narrator voice is still uber believable!POOFtoodlesTJword up.
