I thought that this was beautifully written, and expressed a noble sentiment. However, I am not wholly convinced by Lucian's logic: millions of innocent lives do seem preferable to one innocent life; although, doubtless, in your novel, the world is miraculously saved by Lucian acting to save poor little innocent boy from himself.I loved the prose poem that you wove into the narrative. It was atmospheric and I felt it captured the heart of the character very well.

Excellent story! You have a wonderful style of writing - very descriptive and expressive without bogging the reader down. The character conflict and the debate over morality are great. If this is indeed intended to be a novel then I wish you the best of luck!
