So simple and sort, yet .. no less meaningful. All of this kept me thinking aftwerwards, "what if". But us humans, are imperfect and that is why we are "man".

very nice! i like the subtle shift from beginning to end: how it starts off in a world of wonder and ends in a veil of self-deception. its amazing that passion can create such beautiful things, words, worlds and yet be the most destructive force on the planet. its passion that drives men to kill their brothers; passion in their beliefs, in their unfaltering faith in corporeal demigods (who just happened to be wacked). would dinosaurs have evolved into passionate beings if they had become the dominant species? or is it something innate to our warm-blooded ancestors who, for the first time in existance, became capable of determining the fate of the entire world? much to ponder. thank you. keep writing!

The truth does hurt but it is better than lying to ourselves. I did suppose and I think if all you said was true someone like you would write a fic like this and describe how our world currently is. Good, sort of depressing, especially the last paragraph, but good you should write more.
