Well I have no suggestions like Tea Bush, but personally I like the ending. Your descriptions of the weather (and everything else) where really good. I have decided to review all of your stories, because I want to.

But generally I don't like happy ends.

How about this:

The wet, wild winter weather is not to stay.

The River'll rise! We'll all be washed away!

No, that's probably bad.

Anyway, your sonet is fine. Write more.
