How about haveing your authors note as the description adding and taking away obvious parts. Oh AND PLEASE add the rest it would/dose feel/read unfinshed if you didn't.

I like the way she obsessively goes over her appearance, and there's an effectively bitter tone in the way she describes other people's opinions of her. Well controlled.

I think this story shows well the darker side of teenagerhood, how someone's appearance can be taken as their personality for so long that they deliberately go against it, no matter what they wish to be, and the truth about reflections. I like this story. It makes you think, and is very well written in a tense quite hard to use for a long period of time. Very well done.
