Chapter Three

The bell ranged and everyone flied out of school egar to go home, or hang with their friends. Faline walked out slowly with her friends not rushing to get home like usual. She stared into space thinking about her weekend ahead of her and how she was going to spend it.

" Thanks again for the gift you guys", Faline said to her friends hugging them,

" It was nothing; we are your best friends!"

"So Fei what are you planning to do for your birthday weekend?" Keruri asked flinging her pack on her shoulders. Faline glazed up into the sky lost in thought,

"I don't know... maybe go shopping with my birthday money or something like that," she paused and grinned, "OR! I could go to the movies I've been dying to see that new that came out."

June and Keruri laughed and Faline's childish delight,

"Well your weekend is sounding better then mines... I have to go see Auntsu Aoi..."June hung her head down, Faline and Keruri laughed patting her back slightly. Faline skipped ahead swinging her pack behind her and she laughed in a "singsong" voice,

"Poor Ju-chan! Stuck with your honorly great Aunt for the-oof!"

Once more Faline crashed into something solid that nearly knocked the breath out of her...again.

"Ow! Damnit!" Faline cursed under her breath as she rubbed her sore nose and a few other sore spots.

"Oh! I'm so sorry.. Are alright? your not hurt any where?"

Faline only nodded absently and straightened her appearance; she looked up and was once more mesmerized at the pair of royal blue eyes peering down at her. Those eyes belonged to Kei Shields! Faline uttered something incoherent to him then bowed.

"I was waiting for you Miss. Saotomi ... and I was wondering if you wouldn't mind if I speak to you in private?"

Faline just ogled him her mouth momentarily not working

Her stray thought caused her to blush scarlet red and nod, answering a tad bit feverously,

"S-sure Kei..." Faline cased her friends a neverous grin then proceeded to follow Kei as he began to walk away.

Kei lead her to an empty part of the school courtyard and motioned her to sit down.

"First of all I'd like to wish you a Happy Eight Tenth Birthday..."

He started out Faline looked at him rather surprised that he even knew it was her birthday.

"H-how did you know? Today was my birthday?" She asked quietly.

Kei smiled at her and didn't reply, but his smile was enough to bring another blush to her cheeks.

From across the courtyard Takumi and Miranda each watched the two figures unseen in the bushes. Both lost in their own thoughts,

*How dares she! * Miranda fumed ferociously *How dare that... that barbarian talk to my Kei alone!*

She clenched her fist angrily, she knew she had to slip them up, but how was the question.

*How dare that bakayaro talk to Faline!* Takumi let a low growl escape

He to clenched his fist and continued to watch the unsuspecting couple, as the talked. Takumi didn't trust Kei and he wasn't about to let Faline get cause into that playboy's trap.
