P.S. Thanks to those few who reviewed this story! ::huggles them:: ^_^
Ragged looking beast men, whatever they were, glared down at the pair before speaking the very words that were carved on the gates, "He who inters the gates of Valer bares no burden of innocence." Then the gates opened 'welcoming' the two inside, though the sight was not welcoming. The city was completely filthy. Every building and house had a rundown appearance. Infested and despicable...how could any being live like this? The beasts and demons hustled down the streets, but there were humans. They were dressed in rags and some wore in chains. They appeared to be slaves to the demons. All looked starved and in remorse. 'Demon' walked on and Motoki stayed close by his side, that was until a rough had grabbed her wrist. She looked down to see a old man, apparently a slave also. "Young priestess of the Blue Moon, Valer has not a hope of redemption. Don't stay here. Do not taint your soul." Motoki's eyes widened at the old man's words. They sounded like some sort of freaky fantasy story.
"Worthless scum! Get you hands of the girl" The voice did NOT belong to 'demon.' Motoki turned to face another of the kaijuu. This one had little human feature to it. It's head was that of a large wolf, his arms covered in think fur, glistening fangs. Only the language was human, if the growling words could be considered that. "Be off with you old man!" He growled, and with that the man scattered off.
When the guy had left the beast studied her every detail with it's sharp wolf eyes. It reached out a claw and stroked her bare stomach sending shivers down her spine. "So tell me, young one, what DOES bring a blessed of the Blue Moon to our humble city." Humble? Yeah right. "My business is my own.", Motoki shot back. "I see, but little human, do you not travel with others in a city like Valer. I know you are gifted in the skill of the Blue Moon's magic, but still, against my claws, your innocent blood would spill." "She is mine. I heed you not to touch her." ,'Demon's' voice called out.
The beast sneered, "If I were you, kind sir, I'd be on my best to watch my woman in a city like Valer. She would already be dead if not for her marks and aura, but others still may not take heed to this as I." "I do not need your advise on how to handle humans." And with that her grabbed Motoki by the arm and hauled her away.
"You, girl, are a great pain.", he hissed in her ear as they walked. "Well, SORRY that you ran off and left me!" "You should've taken better care to keep up with me, but that is not the issue as of now. You have changed, and not by my doing." When Motoki just starred at him blankly he continued, "The marks are your stomach, they show you are a child of the Blue Moon." Motoki looked down. There WERE marks on her stomach. Well, not really marks more that a picture. A extremely detailed blue circle had appeared on her stomach. It was somewhat faded, but it was there. It was the Blue Moon. "Why did you not warn me of your damn curse, wrench?" Motoki was getting angry. This guy was, was just so damn irritable. Could he not cut her just a little slack? Huh? He felt her hand getting warm and suddenly she felt the urge to put it on 'Demon's' chest. That is precisely what she did, and as soon as she did so blue light shot out of it sending the guy flying back and slamming into a wall. What? How? How had she done that? It had just seemed so natural that her body just...did it. She didn't even have to think.
"Oh Lord!", Motoki whispered and ran to 'Demon's side. He rose to his feet scowling and holding a hand of the extensive bleeding coming from a human-sized handprint on his chest. "I'm so sor-SHUT UP, GIRL!", he interrupted, and then slowly began to limp off. She ran and caught up with him, "Demon-sama, your in no condition to walk like this." He mearly growled. "Look there's an Inn. We can bandage your wounds there." He grunted at walked to then Inn. He paid for a room, a rather sad sight to see, an injured person trying to find the correct amount of money to pay for his room. He plopped down on the bed with a loud sigh. Motoki sat in the chair and just watched in science as he sat there in pain, but she could no longer take it. "Damn it! Your gonna bleed to death if you don't bandage you wounds, and since you seem too content just sitting there I'll have to do it. "
Motoki walked over and pulled off his armor and clothing with care as not to make the wound worse. She walked to a spikit on the wall that a bucket lay underneath, the shower/sink she supposed, and filled the bucket with warm water. She smiled slightly, content at work and used his under shirt as a cloth to clean off the blood. She rubbed the cloth over his wound, and got no reaction. It had to have hurt, but no flinch or growl. Nothing. He peered up at his face only to see a peaceful expression and closed eyes. He was hopefully asleep, and not the alternative. She needed clean bandages, but the only thing she had was her undergarment, and taking them off meant full exposure. The other option was his shirt, which was dirty from there time spent in the dessert. That would only make the wound infected. She'd have to go out and find something. -Alone- Just wonderful. She grabbed the little leather bag he kept his money in and set off.
She went to the very closet shop and bought a cheap blanket. The blanket could be torn into bandages and would last for several days.
She had went and came back as fast as she could, before he awoke, and was now back by his side. (Hope you don't mind me skipping the shopping scene. Wouldn't be to much entertainment there. ^_^;;) Our demon friend still slept quietly in his upright position. Motoki smiled and decided she liked it when he was asleep. He was actually rather cute when he wasn't disgracing her human heritage. Motoki finished bandaging 'Demon' up and sighed laying down beside him. Hai, he was cute.

This is a rather short and boring chapter. =/ The little action scene really sucked too, but alas, God didn't bless me with the talent to write action. ^_^ Please review anyway. Minko tries hard... x_x

So...sue away if you REALLY want my couch crud. The cracker may still be good to play checkers with, if you could stand the smell...
