Shaun watched Madison run down the hallway. What's up with her? Shaun shrugged it off and started walking to class. Something a guy was saying caught his attention.
"How much you want to bet I can score with that chick Madison?" He told his friends.
Shaun stopped in his tracks and looked over to the group the guy was in. What are they talking about? Why did he just say Madison's name? Shaun walked over to the group.
"Hey what are you guys talking about?" He asked them.
"Look who it is." A guy with light brown hair said.
"Hey, how's Madison in bed? We've heard all about it." The guy who he overheard questioned him.
"What are you talking about? I don't even go out with Madison. Why would I have slept with her?" Shaun asked confused.
"Don't lie. Everyone at school knows you slept with the biggest ho at this school." A girl with curly red hair accused him.
"Madison's not a ho! I never slept with her. You guys don't even know her! How can you say such things? She doesn't even mean anything to me except as a friend!" He snapped at them. "You guys are ignorant. You're too blind to see the way this school tries to ruin reputations of the greatest people I know! You need to get your facts straight before believing them."
Shaun walked off irritated at what he just heard. He walked in the direction he saw Madison run to see if he could find her. He saw a girl that looked familiar from the mall that one day. She had brown hair and blue eyes. Damn . . . what was her name? Joy? No . . . that's not it . . . but it begins with a J . . . Jessica? . . . Josie? . . . Jordan? Yeah! Jordan . . .
"Jordan?" He said hesitantly.
"Yes?" She answered stopping.
"Can you do me a favor and see if Madison's in the bathroom? I need to talk to her."
"Sure, is there something wrong?"
"You haven't heard?"
"Heard what?" She asked.
"All the nasty rumors going around about her. Everyone's saying she's a whore pretty much. I didn't know until just now. Can you check up on her please?"
"Oh my God. I didn't know that either! Of course. I'll see what I can do."
"Anytime Shaun." She walked into the girls' bathroom and left Shaun standing there. Shaun leaned against a wall and waited to see if Madison or Jordan would be coming out anytime soon. Everyone who walked by stared at him snickering and whispered things he couldn't hear. I can't imagine what Madison's going through . . .
"Shaun!" He heard James shout his name over everyone else. Shaun turned his head and saw James running towards him. When he finally caught up to Shaun he placed his hands on his legs and was inhaling deeply. "I was-looking-all over-for you." He said between breaths.
"What's up?" He asked.
"I came as soon as I heard. You know, about Madison and all."
"I just found out today."
"Same here. I feel bad. Do you know where she is?"
"Bathroom, crying I would think."
"Is that why you're standing next to the girls' room?" He half-chuckled.
"Yeah, I told Jordan to check up on Madison."
"Do you think any of her other friends know?"
"I don't know. I haven't talked to anyone today really."
"Shaun! James!" Joy shouted, catching their attention. They turned and saw her walking towards them with Cory, Kimmie, Jason, Kevin, and Gavin close behind. "You need to know what happened with Madi." She said as she was in front of them.
"We already know." James told her.
"Does the whole school know except us or what?!" Jason yelled. "Joy hasn't told us yet."
"Oh, be quiet. I wanted everyone here. As some of us know there's been nasty rumors going around about her."
"Yeah but who made them up?" Shaun asked.
"Her ex, Chaz. I don't know why because they went out in 9th for crying out loud! But yeah, it was Chaz Simps." Cory told them.
"I can't believe he would go so low." Kevin said.
"If anything, the rumors should be about me. Not her." Joy muttered to herself.
"What?" Jason questioned her.
"No-Nothing." She stuttered.
"What do you mean about you?" Shaun asked.
"I . . . well . . ." She began. "I actually slept with him . . . in 8th grade."
"Whoa, hold on! What?!" James asked confused. "How come you never told me you had sex before?"
"It's not that big of a deal and I regret it."
"I thought we said we'd be open to each other."
"Just because we started going out doesn't mean I'm that open to say things yet." She replied.
"You two go out?" Kimmie asked.
"Yeah." They responded.
"That's not the point though." Joy reminded them.
"Yes, the point is we need to do something about this. We need to either talk to Chaz and threaten him," Cory smiled. "Or tell everyone the truth that Chaz is a liar-"
"With a small dick-" Joy muttered.
"That's not the point-"
"We can add it in-" Joy argued.
"Whatever. Anyways, and tell them Madison never did anything with him."
"Think we can pull it off?" Gavin asked.
"Well, you flirt with the ladies all the time so it should be easy for you." Kimmie told him.
"Yeah, and Cory and Joy flirt with the guys so it should be simple." Kevin added.
"You guys got to help too." Gavin told them.
"We will." The rest answered.
The girls' bathroom door open and out came Madison and Jordan.
"Madison!" Kimmie, Joy, and Cory exclaimed and hugged her.
"I'm so sorry." Kimmie said. Madison hugged them back still crying.
"We're going to do everything we can." Cory told her.
"Thanks guys, you're the best!" She smiled through her tears.
