7Unexpected
Lilly stood in the office of her grandmothers industry. She couldn't
believe what her grandmother and father were asking her to do.
"You want me to marry him so he could stay in the country," she stated.
"It will only be for a short period of time," her grandmother replyed
"We need him here to find the secret ingredent for our new product," her father stated
Lilly had never been so upset but she understood what she had to do in order for her to keep her job too.
" Yes grandmother, I will marry him to keep our company alive," she quietly replyed
"Great we will get everything set up," Her grandmother said.
Lilly satin her office thinking if she made the right decision. The one person that she always wanted to avoid would be the same person she'd end up marring.
While she was deep into thought she didn't realize that Devin had walked in.
"Lilly," he asked
" Yes," she stated in shock
" Icame bye to tell you how thankful I am for you deciding to marry me so I may stay
in America," he replyed
"No problem," she stated
He came closer and pulled her into his arms and breathed in her lovely smell.
Lilly melted in his arms. She couldn't believe the feelings that she was having. She blushed a scarlet color.
" Would you please let me go. This is an arranged marriage and it will be nothing more than that. Is that understood?"
Lilly heatedly stated
"If thats what you wish," he retorted
Lilly was still in his arms when Mary,the secretary, walked the sight of this She had a huge grin spread across her face.
"Excuse me"
Lilly pushed out of Devins arms. " Yes Mary."
"Did you finish signing those papers?"Mary asked
" Yes I did. Here you go."Lilly replyed
Mary then left with a huge grin on her face. Lilly knew that there would be talk about her and Devin tomorrow.
She knew that she shouldnt have gotten involved with this arranged marriage.
"That will give her a lot to talk about tomorrow," Devin replyed with a wicked grin
Lilly looked at him didn't really want talk going around about her exspecially with Devin.
"Well since were going to get married i think we need to discuss the living arrangements," he stated
"Iguess your right. I have a small apartment in the city!" she replyed
"No thats to small. We can stay at my house and say that we rent an apartment in the city when we have to work late." he stated
"Thats the best idea you've came up with today. Did it hurt to think?" she retorted
Devin gave her a wicked grin. " I'll buzz you in a little while so we can leave my Ice Queen," he replyed
Lilly gave him a kiss-my-ass look "Okay and then i'll clear my calender for the rest of the day."
With that Devin left her office.
