Portrait

Painting a portrait of my life so true
Sketches of thunder and then there's you
Civil acts, no matter what I do
The paintbrush keeps painting up something new
I want a new landscape a home out side
Somewhere, where I can regain my pride
But maybe I don't want to run and hide
But my palette's just black and white

Painting a portrait of my life in motion
Using my future as a soothing lotion
Not thinking of you is like a magic potion
Thinking of you is like deadly poison

Naming my pictures "A time to kill"
Sending the viewers a freaky shrill
These pictures they make me seem kind of ill
But I'll keep painting these pictures until

I'm out of air
My heart is pumping no more
'till life seems more fair
'till I've settled my scores

You've been lying to my through those sincere eyes
More inspiration every time I cry
Using more shades every time you lie
And when I look back I seem to wonder why
Tell me a little about your self
I thought you came from heaven but you must come from hell
I tell you my paintings they wouldn't sell
But when you look closely there's a lot to tell

Naming my pictures "A time to kill"
Sending the viewers a freaky shrill
These pictures they make me seem kind of ill
But I'll keep painting these pictures until

I'm out of air
My heart is pumping no more
'till life seems more fair
'till I've settled my scores

throwing my paint onto a plain white board
shades of red and black
freezing it up until the painting has thawed
until the paint on the board has cracked
