Night
has fallen
(as do the best of us)
and
I am naughty ;)
and not in bed.
But instead
I look out and
I see with joy
snow!
has fallen
(as do the best of us)
upon our cold
ground,
just the start
of flakes
scattered.
Black night
sky
glittering
with jewels,
lights!
But!
I frown
and
those "stars"
are not
but
lights
man-made
recalled to
"civilization"
and sorrow
falls
(as do the best of us)
upon my heart,
the barren field,
along with
bitterness
at this cruel
joke.
