Disclaimer: I do not own Rascal Flatt's Love You Out Loud.
A/N: Okay, this is rather random, but when I first wrote the title out, I guess I made the n accidentally look like an h, so it looked like "How to Shag a Guy".which it is not.
Prologue
"I've always been a little shy, I've always been the quiet type" ~ Rascal Flatts, Love You Out Loud
"I think I really like him." I tell Lila, my best friend since forever.
Sorry, that sounds dumb. We obviously haven't been friends forever, but since we were born. Our grandmothers' were best friends, our mothers' are best friends and we figure why break the tradition.
"Then go out with him." She says, as if it is that simple.
And, the thing is, for her it is that simple. For me . . . well, it's a whole other story. Lila sees a guy, she looks at him, she asks for his number, and what do you know, the next day she has a new boyfriend. For me, well, I have the looking part down, I can look at them. In fact, a lot of times they look back. But as soon as they come over to talk I turn really shy or even worse into the ice princess.
"It's not that easy." I whine.
I can see her rolling her eyes on the other end of the phone.
"You just have to try. You don't try. You can't just expect a boyfriend to magically appear. You're too opinionated, and you act too intelligent and you just have to flirt a little and . . ."
We've had this conversation a million times. And in a million times, it has always ended the same way. With me hanging up on her.
A/N: I know this isn't much, but if y'all show some interest I promise to have the next chapter up by Wednesday, at the latest.
