The first time I saw the Eiffel Tower

I was holding it in the palm of my hand

Standing among the fake French hats

And other overpriced souvenirs.

I've seen every inch of Barcelona

Taken there by the lyrics to a song.

In my mind I've walked the streets of London

Not even slightly bothered by the rain.

I've gone to Kyoto countless times

In order to put off my math homework.

Stood in the beautiful Samurai town

And watched the cherry blossoms swirling in the wind.

I've swam on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean

While waiting for my nails to dry.

Gone to Mexico and bought more junk than I could carry

For the American equivalent of 35 cents.

I've flown in a V-shape with Canadian geese

On their way to a much warmer spot

Where they drink pond water with umbrellas in the glasses

And carefully play shuffleboard with their eggs.

My mind's taken me to the top of Mount Everest.

Just me and the snowman I took the time to build.

Sitting with my feet hanging out over eternity,

Drinking hot chocolate and smiling at the world.
