They turned quickly on a side street and went for another 5 minutes or so, until they came up to a little white house with black shudders that looked very different from all the rest.
The other houses were colorful, pinks, blues, greens, yellows, and even some reds.
They both got out of the car, both feeling the vampiric energy seeping through the colorless house.
She felt her energy and her friend's energy grow, with what, she did not know. She figured her instincts were making her aware, there for, pumping up her, and Karin's, energy power.
There were no flowers around the house, and no way of telling anyone lived there, but if they were just driving the car through the street neither of them would've notice the plainness of it next to the rest of the extravagant homes.
They walked up to the side door and both cringed at the feel the black energy inside the house gave.
Adara could feel it much better than Karin could because she had been more trained, but still they were both experts in what they did, though they did not really do anything.
There job was mostly out of a kindness proclamation, and a school project one might say. Every student, whether it was Droken vampire or other, had certain jobs to do. They got to choose a team or what not and would be given assignments to have done. This was one of them.
This group of vampires has been a threat to lots of groups of creatures for a while, killing at will and exhausting the human supply and making the mortals suspicion of odd doings in the town. Adara and Karen had been called to dispose of them.
They walked through the door using their power to make their bodies transform into mere mind and spirit and reappear on the other side. No one saw them as they did this.
They were in a small hallway with three black doors and one black staircase leading up to the second floor. The hallway was almost all black except for the navy blue carpet that covered the hall floor.
There were pictures all over the walls of people that were dead or in the process of dieing.
They looked at each other both pair of eyes wide. Then they mirrored each other, looked at the staircase, and started walking towards it.
"Maybe our thoughts should check it out first, just to be safe," Karen whispered a little bit of worry in her trained and steadied voice.
Adara nodded and closed her eyes. She felt her mind leave her body and go up the stairs.
This was a power Drokens possessed that many other creatures could only dream about. Where their mind leaves their bodies and traveled to different places in moments. Their bodies could follow or disappear and reappear where the minds place them, but Adara was not worried about body placing now.
Her mind fluttered up the stairs and around the corner she saw 5 vampires sucking on 4 other mortals' necks while another girl was laying dead in the corner.
All the vampires were males but all the victims were human and all girls around the age of 16 or so.
Adara, sensing the danger of leaving her body unprotected, returned to it and Karen.
"5 vampires and 5 girls they're killing. well. ones already dead," Adara said shrugging and looking back up the stairs seeing the site in her mind knowing it was going to haunt her dreams for a couple nights.
Karen nodded, as she walked up the stairs drawing her knife and collecting powerful energy. Adara followed and did the same.
They went up the stairs with no warning sounds. However, as they got up there one of the vampires seemed to notice a presence and turned to face them with lighting quick speed.
"Ah, come to enjoy the party," He said. His super low voice reflected in their minds as his black and silver hair slid gently over his eyes.
The other vampires looked up, their eyes were turning bright colors from the meal they were enjoying before Adara and friend busted in.
"No actually you're going to become the dead. You know, the kind that doesn't walk around," Adara said as she held out her knife and let them watch it glimmer in the dimly lit deep blue room.
All the vampires got up and met the challenge with no hesitation. They smiled wickedly, turned to each other, and nodded. The victims laid on the floor almost motionless. Karen and Adara assumed them dead.
Their skin was white and all the lips were faint blue, there hair was plain black and their teeth were white, sharp, and looked as deadly as the knife Adara was winding between her fingers.
"You want to fight," the leader growled under his breath, "Then lets fight." He suddenly jumped at Adara.
Adara forced the blade into his side missing the heart by only a few inches.
The vampire cursed and threw Adara into the wall breaking Adara's back. Adara had built energy to heal her back almost instantly from the vampire's anger.
Karen gasped as one of the vampires grabbed her arm and pulled her forward. She met the coming vampire with a blast of powerful green flames of energy.
Each Droken has his or her different color energy, but there are only about eight different colors. The colors were; Green- mind strength, deep purple- very balanced, white- pure, yellow- Spirit power, Red- Energy power, gold, wise, Orange- extreme senses, and metallic blue- which was Speed and power.
Every energy bolt comes out like a ball of fire from the palms of a Droken. These energy mechanisms need energizing, there for, if the Droken does not feed in at least 48 hours, she will no longer have that power until she feeds again.
The vamp was blown away and turned to ashes as Karen had to face another one almost immediately afterwards.
Karen, with almost no power left, needed to take energy. She knew very well that vampiric energy was very powerful and it would help her a great deal but she did not know how powerful, she was scared it would destroy them all if the power was to great.
Adara jumped to her feet and stabbed her knife into one of the vampires that was coming towards her, as her former opponent lay on the ground.
She started thinking that this was much better than math class. She giggled in her mind as she threw an energy bolt into a vampire's back.
She started making it into a joke and started jumping around and did not think about the vampires killing her very much since there were only two left.
Karin laughed at the site as she started doing the same. The vampires were confused and looked at each other for some kind of explanation.
Adara and Karen started stalking towards the vampires. They threw their knifes at the vampires which hit them full on killing them as it shot threw there hearts.
"Yes," Karen yelled jumping up and bumping her head on the 10 ft ceiling. Adara smiled and turned to her friend.
"Want to go to a club," she paused to figure out the words to explain, "it's for like vampires demons and such. and humans. college students mostly."
"Yeah, sure," Karin said smiling with a nod.
"Ok, hang on to my mind and I'll get us there. It's in jersey though."
"No problem just get us there." Karen said quickly.
"Ok," Adara nodded and closed her eyes and made sure Karen hung onto her mind with her own before she took off.
