They are bound to stay forever secret within my heart
Most stay willingly, easily managed
But not this one, while trying to hide it my mid seems damaged
He'll never guess, he'll never know
But the pressure is there, it has begun to grow
It will lay hidden within my smile, locked behind my eyes
My secret is safe, guarded by accusing lies
Fear, pain, rejoice and regret flowing through my veins
Rippling through me like blood passing through my brain
He'll never know, just as well
Cause I'll never tell
Cross my heart hope to die
Don't get me wrong, I'm not shy
I've just learned from my mistakes, not going down that path again
All I did was bring someone pain
Closing my eyes and whisper a song
Helping me to remember why I wrote this poem
It's my secret mine to know, mine to keep
Mine to laugh at before I fall asleep
He'll never know, just as well
Cause I'll never tell
I can hope I can beg and I can plead
I can cry until my eyes begin to bleed
But it's condemned to never leave my lips
God, hell whatever kill me if it slips
I'm close, that enough for me
Just as long as he's close enough to see.
