~John/Snake~
Swaying from side to side,
The rails under the tide,
The boat glides forward
Despite the waves and the currents.
Steering the boat out of the storm,
Hoping to see the sun shine bright
"Drop the main!"
The captain yells,
"Raise the spinicker!"
The crew rushes, feeling compeled.
For the day and night,
The boat is tossed.
At the dawn,
The crew gets on deck.
The storm is gone,
The sails are wrecked,
And land is just out of sight.
Despite all that went wrong,
The crew was content.
They looked upon the dawn,
At the streaks of red and orange,
And they smiled.
The captain said at last,
"This is what sailing is for..."
