The world crushes me,
As I fall down,
Past battle-torn fields,
In the oceans I drown.
I fall past hope,
I fall past light.
I fall into shadow,
I fall into night.
The Darkness consumes
me,
With anger I fall,
Regrets all around me,
Cries ringing off the walls.
I see hope again,
But just a flicker,
It disappears before,
I can hold on.
The world's pressure ceases,
I raise my head,
To see out of shadows,
To see what lies ahead.
I rise out of shadow,
I rise out of night,
I rise into hope,
I rise into light.
My heart's will strengthens,
My soul runs free,
A bold world comes to light,
For the brave,
And for me.
Living without was life for me,
Now I rise above the sea,
I dare to climb,
For life to see.
