This Is Where I'll Be Commenting On My Wonderful Reviews
Lami: I know, isn't Courtney just precious? I may have made him just a little bit too innocent though. *thinking* Anyway, yes the parental units are very generic and boring, but I swear they were meant to be that way. This above all else is a humorous fic and stereotypes make a comedy. *grinning* Well they do in my mind anyway. *grins* I suppose I could have made the parents more rounded. They are fairly one dimensional aren't they? *sighing* See why this isn't my favorite piece of writing.
GoTHiK-FReEK: Yes Casey is very sexy; he's a little flirt as well. But you must understand everything Casey does is for the sole purpose of pissing his father and step-mother off, well not quite everything, some things he does for his own enjoyment as well. *winks* Expect things to get more outrageous, I can't control my own characters. *shakes head sadly* Casey is one who has a mind of his own.
Authors Note: Casey, Courtney and Schuyler belong to me, do what you will with everyone else, though I don't see why you'd be interested in them *winks* I know I said in the summary that it's not one of my favorite stories that I've written, but I'll continue because a couple of people have shown an interest in it. And plus Casey and Courtney are pouting at me in the background and I can't deny those two anything. *winks* Oh by the way, of the people reading this story if any of you are actually interested in Fantasy, please check out my Epic The Destruction of Matynal. Hopefully you won't be disappointed, in my opinion it's the best of the three stories I have up here. *smiles*
_d I can' else, though I don'nd step-mother off, well not quite
CHAPTER THREE
I didn't know how to react when I entered my room and found myself with a roommate. I could tell from the start that Casey was going to cause me trouble, but you know something, I really didn't give a damn. Casey was new, so he was expected to try and make things difficult for the teachers and it had been too long since I'd had any fun. I studied the smaller boy from underneath my lashes and smiled, Casey was the type with too much energy, he was standing there, but he was still bouncing in place. His blond bangs were falling over his green eyes and I could see that the rest of his hair was dyed black. I was intrigued with the style, guessing that it probably took his hairdresser a while to get Casey's hair just the way the other boy liked it. He was also dressed in black from head to toe and he wore make-up, I figured the make-up was a final touch to try and shock the teachers, but I could have told him that the teachers had seen everything it was possible to see.
Once we'd gotten through the proper introductions I turned my back on Casey and sat at one of the desks in the room. Sadly I had some homework I had to complete, so I didn't have the time to get to know Casey. Well I tried to get my homework done anyway, but Casey wasn't having any of that. The boy was forever distracting me by bouncing about the room and poking his head in stuff that wasn't his business. Now usually I don't like people going through my stuff, but for some reason I had no problem with Casey looking at it.
"Books, paper, clothes, what do you do for fun around here?" Casey asked me after he'd gone through my books, an almost complete set of classics if you were interested.
"I read." I told him softly, trying to get the math's homework done.
"Boring, come on surly reading isn't the only thing you do?" I looked up from my homework in time to see Casey blow his hair out of his eyes and bounce onto my bed.
"You do have your own bed you know?" I felt it was my duty to point out.
"But I like your bed," he winked flirtatiously. I quickly looked back at my homework before the shorter boy could see how badly I was blushing just from his harmless comment, actually I wander how harmless the comment was because I found myself imagining Casey in my bed, but he wasn't alone.
"So what do you do for fun?" He asked me again.
"I also draw and write." I explained exasperated, I guess I wouldn't be getting any homework done tonight.
"Fine, I'm going to have to teach you how to enjoy life aren't I?" Casey asked amused.
"I enjoy life just fine thank you, I'm just kind of quiet and prefer to keep to myself."
"Where's the fun in that?" Casey asked before grabbing his laptop and mobile phone then heading over to the other desk.
"How did you get a computer and a mobile phone in here? The only computers we're allowed to use are the libraries where the staff can monitor us." I asked curiously.
"That's for me to know and you to find out," Casey winked, before turning his computer on. I rolled my eyes then turned back to my homework, just glad that he was leaving me alone for the time being.
After a couple of hours the silence was even getting to me, so I put my books away and turned in my seat.
"What are you doing?" I asked curiously.
"I'm chatting with my brother." Casey told me quietly as he quickly typed something in on the keyboard.
"What's your brother like?"
"The complete opposite of myself." Casey grinned, "He's not as hyperactive as I am, or as much of a trouble maker, actually I don't think Courtney's been in trouble even one day of his life. He's also a straight A student and a superb athlete and much more innocent than I am. He's popular and well he's just basically perfect."
"Doesn't that get annoying?" I found myself asking.
"Some times, but I got over that a long time ago. I've always known that Courtney was meant for great things, while I'm just meant for mediocre things." He grinned unrepentantly.
"You have a very negative outlook on yourself," I said almost absently and Casey shrugged.
"Nah not really, I mean in the beginning I was like I am just to piss my father off, but now it's become a way of life and I wouldn't change myself for the world. All I want to do is live my life the way I've chosen." He explained smiling softly then typed something else.
"Well you're not really doing that are you? I doubt it was your choice to be sent to this school?" I asked amused.
"Oh I don't know, it's not so bad thus far," he winked flirtatiously, laughing when I blushed.
