At dusk

Fireflies dance in the mist

A hungry copper tiger

Prepares to pounce.

His eyes flash like emeralds

As he crouches in the tall grass.
Swish, swish-

His tail sweeps the air.

Suddenly, the tiger jumps!

He defeats the bird

And returns to the shadows to eat his meal.

At dawn

Fireflies fade into the morning

A contented copper tiger

Sleeps in the shade.
