I love it at night,

When out goes the light,

And all you hear is the soft pitter, patter,

Of the rain going splatter,

Against the cold, hard ground.

The lightening flashes,

And the thunder crashes.

I am warm in my bed,

With a pillow under my head,

With my dog lying beside me.

Rain is a song,

That never lasts for long,

But you know it will be back,

And the thunder will crack,

And the lightening will blind.

Rain is soothing,

But the storm keeps moving,

And the thunder keeps booming,

While the storm clouds are looming,

And the lightening flashes in your eyes.
