The Glory of Nature

When the flowers bloom
in the sweet setting of May,
the birds sing
a soft tune
and we know it's spring.

When the flowers crisp
in warm July,
the fireworks sputter
in a colorful explosion
and we know it's summer.

When the other trees fade
and appear with golden leaves,
the evergreen stands tall,
green and mighty,
and we know it's fall.

When brisk, chilly air
brings us frost,
we spend our time pleading for snow,
we wait for it to show
but it rarely stays long.
we know winter has come.
