Evening Visit

By Alexandra Reed

This silver light shines in the distance
I see the creatures walking down the platform
They look at me with their big black eyes
They stare for a moment then run and hide

I watch them from afar
Wondering what their purpose is
And who they are
I come a little closer, then stop

Are they friend?
Are they foe?
Do they come here to destroy?
Do they come here for peace and love?

I watch them come now
Back from hiding
They walk to me and take my hand
Their hands feel weird, cold and slimy

Then they walk me to the platform
And I am gone
When I get back I can say
Aliens bob! They were Aliens!
