Camryn's Kaleidoscope

By: DreamerRoni

A/N: For some reason, I love kaleidoscopes, and I decided to write a short piece on it.

Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo Violet

The visible spectrum. They left out the color of pain and loneliness. They left out the hell that we all trudge through, day in and day out.

Black.

My kaleidoscope shows the real world. My kaleidoscope shows the swirling black I deal with each and everyday.

I can't take it anymore.

Do you know what happens when you mix the visible spectrum?

You get white.

I buy white.

It's hard to get it, at my age, but I manage.

They only thing that smiles back is white.

Oh, it's the purest, sweetest stuff around.

My kaleidoscope finally has colors, and they swirl around me.

I'm getting sick.

I can't handle the colors.

Or black.

I'm out of white.

I steal.

The white happiness is worth it.

The cops will never arrest a minor for this anyway.

Ah shit. I thought I told that cashier to shut up!

Oh well, I'll deal with him later..

I only have $56.80. They can't file it as a they?

Why are they shooting? I'm only 15..lost in colors and drowning in life.

They're shooting black at me..I told them I can't take black!

They look confused..they look at each other, they ask each other what to do..

.All I feel is the pain..

No more colors..Wish I could go back to the colors..I'd give anything for that first kaleidoscope..

Shit the pain..the pain..
