MOTHER NATURE

*****

My tears are the rain
Each drop a token of unending sorrow
Diamonds falling, falling from above

My eyes are the sun and the moon
Circling in the dance of eternity
Shining bright with the fierce light of chaos

My cloak is the sky
Blue, blue of hope, graced by the rainbow
Black, bottomless, speckles of witchlight and stardust

My breath is the wind
Angry, roaring; whistling a sad, mournful tune
Power-hungry, blowing lands to the brink of destruction

My flesh is the earth
Rich, brown, soft, and moist
Giver of life to plants, to creatures in need

My bones are the rock
Hard, unmoving, alive but yet not
Foundation of empires, fortress of peace

My tears are the rain
My grief for my land, the sorrow eternal
My tears are the rain.

I've fixed a couple formatting problems from when I first put this
up...Review. If you like it, that is. Flames will be used to roast
marshmallows. This is going to be a poem in a collection of poems, as soon
as I format everything else...
